The truth is
that our finest moments are most likely to occur
when we are feeling deeply uncomfortable,
unhappy, or unfulfilled.
For it is only in such moments,
propelled by our discomfort,
that we are likely to step out of our ruts
and start searching for different ways
or truer answers.

-M. Scott Peck,
psychiatrist and author (1936-2005)

It's in these moments you discover what truly makes you happy and what you value in life.

I heard today that "we often find the most purpose in our life during the most pain."

Ain't that the truth!

The Truth is God's Law and His Gospel.

The law crushes us and we are killed, and the gospel raises us and we live again.

Other than that, I might need another analyst to decipher what the 1st analyst said.

I'm reading a Scott Peck book just now: "The People of The Lie". It's chilling but fascinating too.

Steve: "The law crushes us and we are killed"

I don't think that is truly a Biblical perspective. Scripture says that the Law is good, pure, and holy. And that sin takes advantage of the Law, thereby killing us. Therefore, it is sin that crushes and kills - not the Law.
