All living souls welcome whatever they are ready to cope with;
all else they ignore,
or pronounce to be monstrous and wrong,
or deny to be possible.

-George Santayana, philosopher (1863-1952)

Very interesting quote......but,

Do you think sometimes something happens to someone, even though they are not ready to cope with it, that they can't ignore it, and will even have admit that it's true?

That happened to me.

I wasn't ready to cope with something......

I couldn't ignore it........

It itself proved to be undeniably true...

So the quote can't be true for me; a living soul.

It doesn't apply to all people at all times, Wayne.
But have you ever been confronted with something that you couldn't reason out and treated it that way?
Before I ever accepted Jesus, I had all those things happen to me about Him. But He is patient. So very patient.
It's amazing how we cope sometimes when we don't understand something.
Some people decide that others can't 'handle the truth'. Other people hide, or shut down any dissenting opinions because they don't understand.
I'm not saying you do that, but I've seen people who do it. Heck, I've even done it myself sometimes.
The quote is just a way for you to reflect on yourself, or not. As you wish.

It's kindof like, "People only hear what they want to hear". Definately true, and I've been guilty of it.

Sometimes it is just about catching someone(myself included) at the right place and right time. (Not directed at anything in particular, just general)
