I come from a people who gave the Ten Commandments to the world.
Time has come to strengthen them by three additional ones,
which we ought to adopt and commit ourselves to:
thou shall not be a perpetrator;
thou shall not be a victim;
and thou shall never, but never, be a bystander.

-Yehuda Bauer, professor (b. 1926)

I like those too! Especially the bystander one. Sadly people seem to lack compassion for others, taking care of themselves only.

What happened to building a community, not just a people?

*doing too much thinking this morning already*

Interesting. I have never heard that quote before, but I think I like it.

Thanks, WW and Nator.
Hadn't heard it myself before this morning, either.

Silly quote. There are 613 commandments. 593 always confused me. I mean who determines how many wives is to many for a king. It's a good thing I'm an Imperador

Your wife determines how many wives are too many! Even for a king.

Your Royal Bunniness,
But a Jew summed up the law into 2.
613 are just details.
It's kind of like having a car (the 2) and then deciding color, pinstriping, wheel size, interior options, etc. (the 613).

That is a good guideline, to be sure. ;)
