Freedom (part 3)

Got this from a comment Lonnie made at Mrs. D's.
It ties in nicely with what I've been thinking and says it better than I would have.

"When we fear people coming in and taking away our place we have man centered, empty religion. We miss the truth and withhold from ourselves and others the freedom which comes in relating to Jesus as we walk with Him."

What if I limp? Pulling my leg from behind. More or less dragging my bloody stump to and fro...

We all walk next to Him, regardless, eh?

what greater freedom can we have than to walk with Jesus?? will there be problems in our life? sure, but with Jesus, we will make it through the problem. No problem is too big for Him or for us to handle.

Some people want the freedom to choose. I say, choose today whom you will serve, as for me and my house, we will choose the Lord!

But why shouldn't we fear?

Because God keeps his promises. That includes the promise that he who began a good work in me will finish it. If someone could come in and take away our place, then that is our place and not the work of the lord.

Good thought Roland.

Fear? Ha, God laughs in the face of fear!

God and I are on the same team, so I can laugh in the face of fear too!

Be careful with that line of thinking :)

j razz, I completely agree that caution should be used, however I rest in the arms of the Almighty, and trust He will keep His promise, that I shall not be tempted more than I can bear. ( 1 Corinthians 10:13)
