I haven't run into any lately, but a chaplain friend of mine lent me a book called "101 things to do during a dull sermon".
(This is not reflective of his preaching ability or a breach of confidentiality about what he does) ;)
Things I gleaned:
Pinching yourself to stay awake, is a great sugestion.
But pinching others to stay awake is much more interactive.
It allows the other person to practice that "turn the other cheek" thing.
And if they pinch you back, tell the pastor.
There are many other suggestions, but I was wondering what other things would be 'fun' to try. Let me know what your ideas are.
